In New Delhi at a press event iPhone 5 got launched in India. This most awaited Apple iPhone 5 was launched with the special tariff plans from Airtel and Aircel.
Airtel offering the special tariff plans worth Rs. 300, 600, 1000, 1600, 2000 and Aircel is offering a special plan which includes benefits such as no monthly rental and free 1GB data usage, 500 minutes of voice calls, and 500 SMS per month. After hitting limit of free data and voice limits, users will be charged as per regular tariff rates. There is no rental fee on these plans. After 12 months, the customer has to pay only Rs. 399 per month to continue getting these benefits.
iPhone 5 is launched in 3 variants of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. 16 GB model will sell for Rs. 45,500, 32 and 64 GB are priced at Rs 52,500 and Rs 59,500 respectively. iPhone 5 is 20% lighter than the iPhone 4S. iPhone 5 is finally hitting Indian Shores on November 2 for INR 45550 for the 16GB version. Rs 52,500 for the 32GB version, and Rs 59,500 for the 64GB model. It will be distributed by Redington India and Ingram Micro within next two to three days and pre-orders will be live in a few hours.

Today at a highly anticipated event in San Francisco a thinner, taller, faster iPhone 5 was unveiled. It is the sixth iPhone model officially known as iPhone 5. As expected the new iPhone is 18 percent thinner than the iPhone 4S and also 20 percent lighter for a total of 112 grams. It is the thinnest smartphone in the world according to Apple.

Apple said the iPhone 5′s processor speed is twice as fast as the previous version. The iPhone 5 is also the Apple’s first smartphone which supports the 4G-LTE Network Connectivity. LTE tends to be a power hog, but the iPhone 5 is set to deliver respectable battery life. Of course, the real story may differ, but here’s what Apple is promising for now. It also has the 8MP camera with the best resolution being 3264×2448 pixels.

Apple iPhone 5 will soon be available in market from 14th September. Apple will take pre-orders of this product. iPhone 5 pricing with a carrier plan in US for 16GB is $199 -32GB $299 – 64GB $399 pre-order sept 14 ship on sept 21. No information has been passed about its launch in India.
