Beats Audio is developed by a Company named Beats Electronics which was developed by Andre “Dr. Dre” Young and Jimmy Iovine. According Dr. Dre
People aren’t hearing all the music
and most headphones can’t handle the bass, detail and dynamics. So Dr. Dre provided a solution by launching Beats headphone in 2006. It became a hit in some months. Now Beats have different types of headphones in their store and their price varies from $150 to $400.
With passage of time, Beats introduced speakers and music software which tweaks music to emphasize the bass and vocals, while depressing the “less interesting” middle frequencies. Jimmy Iovine also stated that
With Beats, people are going to hear what the artists hear, and listen to the music the way they should: the way I do
After Beats’ success, various companies like Monster and HTC bought a share of Beats Electronics and started using Beats Audio in their devices. In 2011, HP also started using Beats Audio in its Laptops and Desktops. When it became a hit in 2012, Beats bought popular online music service MOG and officially confirmed it on July 2 2012, i.e. some days ago.
