In New Delhi at a press event iPhone 5 got launched in India. This most awaited Apple iPhone 5 was launched with the special tariff plans from Airtel and Aircel.
Airtel offering the special tariff plans worth Rs. 300, 600, 1000, 1600, 2000 and Aircel is offering a special plan which includes benefits such as no monthly rental and free 1GB data usage, 500 minutes of voice calls, and 500 SMS per month. After hitting limit of free data and voice limits, users will be charged as per regular tariff rates. There is no rental fee on these plans. After 12 months, the customer has to pay only Rs. 399 per month to continue getting these benefits.
iPhone 5 is launched in 3 variants of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. 16 GB model will sell for Rs. 45,500, 32 and 64 GB are priced at Rs 52,500 and Rs 59,500 respectively. iPhone 5 is 20% lighter than the iPhone 4S. But there’s no sign of its launch in India this year. It is expected to land in India next year.
